Midway Products takes the high road in manufacturing stampings, assemblies, and mechanisms for automobiles. Operating through multiple subsidiaries in three states, the group's short list of stamped products includes roof bows, trailer hitch/bumper systems, engine and chassis brackets, and supports for floor pans. Mechanisms range from hood latches to side door hinges, and its component lineup, from underbody to subframe assemblies. Midway plants tout some 100 stamping presses, as well as automated welding and robotic equipment. The company also offers prototyping and test lab services. Customers, include Ford, General Motors, and Toyota. Founded in 1956, Midway restructured and cut headcount by 20% in 2009.
